1988 was an even more exciting year for quads than 1987 with more choices from the top four quad manufacturers. More choices on the sport riding front as well as a better selection of the 4x4 models. Kawasaki would enjoy one last year for the Tecate 4 even though and Honda's successful TRX250R, Suzuki's Quad Racer, and the Yamaha Banshee would live on. Honda, Suzuki, and Yamaha were still basking in the glory of the profitable 2 stroke market in 88 with no plans of letting up as the racer market was still growing steadily. The utility market was also blossoming with more riders taking advantage of the four wheel drive capablities that made these quads great fro offroading, yard-work, and snowplowing. Genuine 1988 quad parts are still available for any production models from the big four, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, and Yamaha. You can also save some money buying used parts for your '88 if you're not necessarily looking to fully restore the quad or you are on a tight budget.
