Dirt Bike Pow-Wow / Re: The KX500
Last post by kennhurr - April 08, 2023, 12:48:28 PM
The KX500 is a solid dirt bike...

The KX500 has a liquid-cooled, two-stroke engine with a displacement of 499cc, making it one of the most powerful motocross bikes of its time. It also features a robust suspension system and sturdy frame, allowing it to handle jumps, bumps, and other obstacles on the track.

However, the KX500 is a highly specialized motorcycle that may not be suitable for all riders. It can be challenging to handle and requires a significant amount of skill and experience to ride safely. Its powerful engine can also make it difficult to control in certain situations, and it may not be suitable for novice or inexperienced riders.

Additionally, the KX500 was discontinued in 2004, which means that parts and service may be difficult to find, and repairs can be costly. It's also important to note that the KX500 was designed for motocross racing and is not suitable for use on public roads.

Overall, the Kawasaki KX500 can be a good motorcycle for experienced motocross riders who want a high-performance bike for competitive racing. However, it may not be the best choice for novice or inexperienced riders, and it may be challenging to find parts and service for this discontinued model.

These bikes were awesome, hard to believe they are out of production this long. View the static page here at: the Kawasaki KX500 page

ATV Pow-Wow / Re: Eton ATV
Last post by kennhurr - April 06, 2023, 07:16:49 AM
Eton Motorcycles was a company that produced a range of ATV models, including the Eton Viper and Eton Yukon, among others. However, the company filed for bankruptcy in 2013 and ceased production of all its vehicles, including its ATV models.

Since Eton Motorcycles is no longer in operation, it may be difficult to find new Eton ATV models for sale. However, used models may still be available through private sellers or dealerships. It's important to thoroughly inspect any used ATV before making a purchase to ensure that it's in good condition and safe to ride. It's also a good idea to check for availability of parts and service before purchasing an Eton ATV, as they may be challenging to find due to the company's bankruptcy.

ATV Pow-Wow / Re: 2000 Yamaha Banshee for Sa...

These machines are awesome...

The Yamaha Banshee was a high-performance ATV that was produced from 1987 to 2006. The top speed of a Yamaha Banshee can vary depending on various factors such as the rider's weight, terrain, and modifications to the ATV.

However, the Yamaha Banshee was known for its impressive speed and acceleration, and it could reach a top speed of approximately 75 mph (120 km/h) in stock form. With modifications, such as a high-performance exhaust system, intake, and carburetor upgrades, the Banshee's top speed could be increased even further.

It's important to note that riding at high speeds can be dangerous and should only be done in appropriate areas, such as designated off-road tracks or trails, while wearing appropriate safety gear.

I know this one is gone but I wish Yamaha would resurrect the Banshee already

What are the Most Popular UTV's Sold in 2023?

This is complicated because there are several UTV models available from various manufacturers, and the popularity of each model can change from year to year depending on various factors such as performance, price, features, and customer demand.

I would expect the big names to lead, not sure how to look it up though.

I'd lean toward using the Dinli CDI and working on the shutdown issue. Do you have a wiring diagram for this machine? May be some updated wiring needs a kill wire changed or added. Lots of these Chinese ATV's use the same wire colors.

ATV Pow-Wow / TROUBLE SHOOT CDI IGNITION BOX
Last post by janskysand - February 08, 2023, 03:27:18 PM
I have a question if anybody can relate or have any suggestions. I'm doing some research for my boss, they have a small 90 cc Dinli Quad for the kids, its a year 2002 but cant find what model it is but we just recently replaced a few parts, one including the CDI ignition box, from research, most all Dinlis, 50cc, 90cc, and 110cc takes the same part (correct me if i'm wrong) but we got the part in and replaced and the 4-wheeler started right up but will not shut off, I read there could be other things that can cause this but we put one of the cdi boxes we had from our polaris in the Dinli and It just won't Rev up, it will start and shut off while the 1st part we tried will Rev up but not shut off.  Does someone happen to have insight on this?  I appreciate any help.  Thank You.

Remember when they said 2 stroke motorcycles were ruining the atmosphere. What a joke. 2 stroke dirt bikes are good for mother earth. They bring joy to the motorcycle community which in turn helps cure atmospheric troubles.
